AI is like a mad scientist who tries out all sorts of things. We'll look at:

- AI Images: What happens when an AI draws dinosaurs on skateboards?
- AI Stories: Who invents the cooler story – you or the AI?

3. AI for Kids: Who is More Creative? (15 min)
Now it gets exciting! We'll play two games:
- Story Battle: A child gives a crazy idea (e.g., "A dragon sells ice cream"), the AI writes a story about it, but the children do too! Which one is better?
For writing the story, we use an LLM, which is a Large Language Model trained to think for itself in response to a query. So there is always an
Input - Processing - Output.
as input, for example, I use:
Write a story about a fire-breathing dragon selling ice cream. It should be super funny and for children aged 9 to 11.
The processing itself happens in the background but could also be made visible through thought models. This is called Reasoning.
The output is then what the LLM "calculated" has. For the story, I used a simple ChatGPT model, which you can also use for free. I didn't change anything in the story and didn't start a second attempt; read the story and try to make it better yourself:
Flame-Fritz and the Coolest Ice Cream Parlor in the World
High up on Dragon Mountain, where usually only fire and smoke are found, a very special dragon had settled: Flame-Fritz. He was big, red, scaly – and had a breath hotter than a toaster on turbo. But instead of devastating villages or scaring knights, Fritz had a much better idea: He wanted to open the best ice cream parlor in the world!
"Flame-Fritz's Frosty Delights," read the colorful letters above his shop, which – of course – was located right in the volcano. And the best part? His ice cream was legendary!
The Secret?
Flame-Fritz had discovered that he could not only breathe fire but also icy cold air, when he ate very, very spicy chili. Sounds strange? But it was true! As soon as he ate one of these hellishly hot dragon chili peppers, he blew an icy breeze from his nose – perfect for making delicious ice cream super fast.
The First Customer
One day, little Tim came to the volcano with his friends and was quite amazed to see the huge dragon standing behind a colorful ice cream counter.
"Um… do you really sell ice cream?" Tim asked skeptically.
"Of course! What flavor would you like?" Fritz grunted, holding up a huge ice cream cone.
"Then I'll take… uh… Dragon Fruit Chocolate Cookie!" Tim exclaimed enthusiastically.
Flame-Fritz grabbed a cup of milk, stuffed a dragon chili pepper into his mouth, blew hard – and ZAP! – the ice cream was frozen in seconds.
Tim took a spoonful and exclaimed: "Wooooow! This is the best ice cream in the world!"
Soon after, word spread that Flame-Fritz had the coolest ice cream in town. Children came in droves to try the craziest flavors:
- Fire & Ice – Chocolate ice cream with a hint of chili
- Bubbleberry Swirl – An ice cream that tickles your mouth
- Monster Mango Blast – With a real tongue-frost effect
- Bubblegum Comet – A scoop that changes color when licked
The Chaos Begins!
One day, King Crunchy of Crunchcastle himself came by. "I've heard this place has the best ice cream in the land! I want the biggest cone ever!"
Flame-Fritz was thrilled. He ate three chili peppers at once, blew – and BOOM! – the ice cream was so huge it covered half the volcano!
"Oops," said Fritz, scratching his head sheepishly.
The children cheered, slid laughing over the frozen lava, and built giant ice cream towers. King Crunchy was so delighted that he appointed Flame-Fritz the official Court Ice Dragon!
From then on, Flame-Fritz was not only the coolest dragon in the world but also the most famous ice cream maker in the entire kingdom. And the best part? His ice cream never melted – unless he sneezed. But that's another story… 😄🔥🍦
